I attended Southern Oregon College of Education one quarter (Sept-Dec). I then worked for the Oregon State Highway Department from January, 1947 through October, 1950 at which time I was drafted into the U.S. Army, "B" battery, 106th FAB, 45th (Thunderbird) Division. After Pat and I got married (see below) I spent a tour of duty in the Korean War, from December, 1951 to July, 1952. I was released from service on August, 1952 and discharged in October, 1956 (six years total).
I then worked for Standard Stations in 1952 in Klamath Falls. Soon after I joined the Oregon State Police in Febuary, 1953 stationed in Klamath Falls also. You can see a photo of me back then if you click here too. Later I transfered to Pendleton, Oregon. In 1954 I began working for the Pendleton City Police Department (a few months after my son, Charles, was born).
In July, 1966 I resigned from the police department and in August, 1966 I began working for Reynolds Metals Company in Troutdale, Oregon (near Portland). I retired in January, 1990.
At one point, during a plant closure, I also worked as an investigator for the Oregon Attourney General's Office.
I married Patricia Jane Freeman on March 3, 1951. We gave birth to a son, Charles Kenneth Jessup, and two daughters, Carolyn Gwenn Jessup and Connie Jane Jessup. See the links to my children for more information.
I was divorced from Pat on December, 1969. I later married Marie Burnadett White on August 26, 1986 and we were married for 35 years before I passed away.

I was born in Weed, California and ended up living in Klamath Falls, Oregon, then Wheatland, California, then Marysville, California, then Chemult, Oregon, then Ashland, Oregon (college), then Ft. Riley, Kansas, then Camp Polk, Louisiana, and then Japan and Korea (during the war). After the war Pat and I lived in Klamath Falls, Pendleton, Gresham (while the kids finsihed school), Fairview and I last resided in Portland, Oregon before passing away of heart failure.
Here is a pretty good video drive through of Chemult, OR where the Jessup clan had roots, off and on, for many years.
